Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has recently wrapped up shooting for the espionage thriller 'Citadel'. Taking to her Instagram on Thursday, Samantha shared a cheerful selfie from her car, captioning it, "13th of July..Will always be a special special day..And it's a wrap on #CitadelIndia." The action-packed series, created by Raj and DK, also features Varun Dhawan.
'Citadel' is an Indian adaptation of the Russo Brothers' series of the same name, with Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden headlining the international version. The release date for the Indian version of Citadel is yet to be announced. Varun's 'Citadel' is set to premiere on the popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Recently, both Varun and Samantha had the opportunity to meet President Droupadi Murmu during their time in Serbia.
Expressing her excitement about 'Citadel', Samantha stated, "When Prime Video and Raj and DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is a homecoming for me. The Citadel universe, the interconnected storylines between the productions across the globe, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really excited me. I am thrilled to be a part of this brilliant universe conceptualized by the Russo Brothers' AGBO."
Apart from 'Citadel', Samantha is also set to share the screen with Vijay Deverakonda in the highly anticipated film 'Kushi', which is expected to be an inter-faith love story.
